Midtown Plein Air Arts Festival

This is the final month for Plein Air paintings to be submitted. On August 9th we will auction off all of the paintings that have been created around North Hills since May 1st.

Prior to the silent auction that will benefit the United Arts Council,  we will have a Quick Paint competition on Main Street at North Hills. Come out from 10am - 1pm to witness, up close and personal, the painting techniques of the area’s finest Plein Air painters.

Throughout the entire day we will feature live music, wine tastings, great food, art demos, and local artist tents. We’ll also have a kiddie corner with fun painting activities - so don’t be afraid to bring the kids…just maybe not in their “Sunday best.”

The silent auction of all the submitted paintings, including the Quick Paint paintings will take place from 2pm-4pm inside ArtSource Fine Art Gallery & Framing. All other activities will take place in the street outside of ArtSource and Moe’s.

Schedule:

 10am – 1pm - Quick Paint Competition on Main Street at North Hills

11am – 2pm – Silent Auction opens without Quick Paint Submissions – Bidding Begins

11am – 4pm – Food Sampling, Art Vendors, Music, Kid’s Activities

12 – 3pm – Old Avenue performs on the stage between Moe’s and Ethan Allen

12 – 3pm – Kiddie Corner features face painting and Balloon Tying by Cotton the Clown

12 – 3pm – Wine Tasting takes place at Mura’s Tent

2pm – 4pm – Silent Auction contains all paintings including Quick Paint Submissions– Bidding Continues

3:00 – 3:30pm – Winners of prizes in all categories are Honored on Stage by Crescent State Bank

4pm – Silent Auction closes, winners are notified
