EN PLEIN AIR - is a French expression which means “in the open air,” particularly used to describe the act of painting outdoors.
Calling All Artists!
We invite you to participate in the first annual Midtown “Plein Air” Art Competition at North Hills. This competition will last through July and will culminate in an art festival on August 9th featuring a silent auction of the submitted works and a Quick Paint competition.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the United Arts Council. Participating artists have the opportunity to win cash prizes and gifts from our North Hills merchants. Each month’s submissions will be displayed throughout North Hills.
- Starting May 1st artists may pick up registration forms at Art Source, or Flink’s Fine Art
- All canvases must be stamped at Flink’s before painting can begin
- Artists are welcome to set up all around the North Hills property
- Paintings must be done on the property in “open air”
- No submissions will be accepted that have been painted off property (defeating the Plein Air concept)
We hope that you will join us! Please check back for updates and more information. Click here to download a printable registration form.
