		<description>Hi –
I would like to present the Graffiti Monkeys  for consideration for participation in North Hills Emerging Artists. 
The Graffiti Monkeys are a group of four high school students from Wake Forest, who have demonstrated incredible talent, particularly for their youth - they are extremely talented and will not disappoint!

  The band is comprised of 4 guys who play alternative Rock music.
Members are:
Lee Roberts – Lead vocals and guitar
Matt Friedley – lead guitar
Justin Marr – Bass and vocals
Ian McDaniel – Drummer
 
Some of the larger venues in the Raleigh area where they have been selected to play are:
•	Bug Fest  - sponsored by the NC Museum of Science Sept 2009 and 2010
•	First Night in Raleigh – New Year’s Eve event – Dec 2010 
•	Artsplosure in Downtown Raleigh  - May 2010
•	4th of July Event at the NC State Fairgrounds – July 2010

Other events in the Wake County/ Raleigh area include the following:
Teen Band Night - Laurel Hills Community Center – Raleigh Parks and Recreation –headliner band
Southpoint Mall  - Durham, NC  - numerous events
Poyner Place at Triangle Town Center Mall – Wake Forest, NC – numerous events
Four Seasons Mall – Greensboro, NC 
Battle of the Bands – Lincoln Theater – May 2009
Battle of the Bands – sponsored by Deep South Records – March 2010
Battle of the Bands Pre-Exam Jam  - at Barton College –WINNER!
Dare Carnival – Wake Forest, NC – sponsored by Wake Forest Police Dept – April 2009
Wake Forest Youth Council Event at Joyner Park –Wake Forest, NC –April 24, 2010

National Night Out  - sponsored by the Rolesville Police Dept – Aug 2009 and Aug 2010

Wake Forest Coffee Company – Wake Forest, NC
 
I am attaching a link to their site at Reverbnation so that you can listen to their music.  I will be glad to send in a CD as well, if you prefer.

They play both originals (which are included on the site) as well as cover songs.
They are a very family-friendly band, and do not play heavy metal or “screamo” music.
Their genre is more alternative rock and classic rock – their cover song playlist spans quite a range of genres including artists such Weezer, Stone Sour, Neil Young, and even Johnny Cash.
They will provide a play list (and lyrics for the original songs) if desired.
