Fourth of July Celebrations in the Works!

Our Fourth of July Celebrations are this Saturday, July 3 and we hope you will join us! Bring the whole family and beat the heat with our events and activities.
The celebration kicks off at 10 AM with a bike parade. Children of all ages can decorate their bikes and participate. First and second place awards will go to those with the best decorated bikes. All participants should meet at Moe’s prior to the 10 AM start time.
After the parade, you can get your stomach ready for our watermelon eating contest. We will have an adult and a children’s division to see who can eat the most watermelon. In addition to watermelon bragging rights, winners will also receive prizes.
Hang around after the contest and enjoy many of our other activities. There will be face painting, caricatures, crafts, and activities for kids. You can even enter a pie in our contest. The whole celebration will take place at the same time as the Farmers’ Market on the Commons. So go ahead and pick up some locally grown vegetables and fruits before you head home!
