North Hills is located in the heart of North Carolina, and is the defining presence of Midtown Raleigh. Exit 8 on the I-440 interstate, it’s only 15 minutes from RDU International Airport. Get directions here.
North Hills is a Midtown district in which people are invited to work, shop, live, dine and be entertained. All of the buildings, parking areas, streets and common areas are privately owned. North Hills welcomes everyone, and, while you are on the property, we ask that you be respectful of all of the tenants, residents and guests. In brief, we ask that everyone treat others as they would most like to be treated.
North Hills has established a code of conduct as a method of ensuring that everyone’s visit will be safe and enjoyable. We ask that all guests and visitors be governed by these guidelines. This is a partial list; additional guidelines may be incorporated at any time. Those who choose not to follow the North Hills Code of Conduct will be subject to expulsion, banning, arrest and/or prosecution for criminal trespass.
Discourteous behavior is not acceptable.
Any behavior that is ill-mannered or disrespectful or that may be inconvenient to others will not be allowed at North Hills. This includes littering, running, shouting, skateboarding, rollerblading or skating. It also includes the playing of radios or personal CD players at a level that can be heard by others and the playing of car radios, tape players or CD players at a level that is generally considered to be too loud.
Disorderly behavior is not acceptable.
This includes behavior that is offensive to others or obscene, as well as behavior that may hinder or disturb other visitors to North Hills and actions that may disrupt customary business activity.
Disorderly behavior also includes failure to respond to reasonable requests and direction from members of North Hills’ staff.
Disruptive behavior and illegal activity are not acceptable.
Any behavior that could affect the safety of North Hills’ guests, tenants or residents or behavior that could disrupt the natural course of business is not allowed. Likewise, fighting or any type of illegal activity is not acceptable.
Appropriate attire is required.
Attire must be appropriate. Guests must wear shirts and shoes, and items of clothing may not display any images or words that could be considered to be offensive.
North Hills also has a Parents On Site Policy (see below) which requires that all children younger than high school age must be in the company of a parent or legal guardian after 9:00 p.m.
For the safety of all North Hills patrons, Public Safety Officers along with Raleigh Police Department will be stepping up their efforts to enforce the Parents on Site Policy. This policy requires that all patrons under 18 years of age be accompanied by an adult after 8pm and is inclusive of the Thursday night Beach Music Concert Series.
Unaccompanied visitors under the age of 18 will be asked to leave the property or wait to be picked up in a safe waiting area beginning at 8pm. Thank you for your cooperation.
How will you identify patrons under 18 years of age?
In order to prove one’s age, a patron can provide a valid ID (driver’s license).
What if the minor has no ID?
Minors without proper identification will be asked to wait with a Public Safety Officer until his/her parent or legal guardian comes.
What if minors emerge from the movie theater and are awaiting a ride?
The parent or guardian will need to be there at 8pm to pick up his/her child.
How does North Hills enforce this policy?
If North Hills Public Safety Officers or Off-Duty Police Officers determine a minor is unaccompanied by an adult after 8pm, he/she will be given the choice of leaving the property or waiting with the Public Safety Officer for his/her ride.
Does each child need an escort?
No. A single adult can be responsible for a group of young people as long as there is proper supervision and control.
Does an adult have to accompany a minor?
Yes. Adults must have the ability to maintain eye contact with the children for whom he/she has responsibility. Otherwise, the child will be asked to wait with a Public Safety Officer until the parent or guardian comes.
What about teenagers who work in the stores?
They are not affected by this policy.
